Taking Inspired Action: Lessons from The Success Blueprint's Freedom Academy
Too many of us get stuck in the planning phase—dreaming, brainstorming, preparing for “someday.” But the truth is, success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally; it comes from what you do consistently. That’s why today, I want to share a powerful lesson from my Gamer’s 30-Day Challenge Academy: the importance of taking inspired action.
This Academy is designed to challenge participants every day to break through limiting beliefs, build consistent routines, and take actionable steps toward their creative, mental, and financial freedom. And while you’re not in the Academy (yet!), this is a lesson you can apply to your own life right now.
The Hard Truth About Feeling “Unqualified”
When I first started in business, I didn’t feel like I belonged in the finance and entrepreneurship industry. I wanted to change my life, but I was stepping into a completely new space, and self-doubt hit me hard.
At first, I hit the ground running. I poured myself into it, working hard every day and making strides toward my goals. But as reality set in, I started to doubt myself. I didn’t feel like I belonged, like I had the skills, or like I deserved to succeed. And those feelings became a huge barrier to my progress.
When I needed to start acting like an entrepreneur—making tough decisions, sticking to daily habits, and pushing myself—I froze. I started second-guessing everything. And instead of taking action, I burned out.
The problem wasn’t my work ethic or my abilities. It was my mindset. I let those feelings of inadequacy stop me from taking the next step. I convinced myself that I needed to “know more,” “be better,” or “feel ready” before I could succeed.
But here’s what I’ve learned: You’ll never feel ready. And that’s okay.
Inspired Action vs. Pretend Busy
One of the most common traps we fall into is “pretend busy.” This is when we fill our time with tasks that feel productive—reading books, attending trainings, watching videos—but don’t actually move us forward.
I told myself, “I’m too busy” or, “I need to learn more before I can start.” But the truth was, I was hiding. I was afraid to take the next step because I didn’t feel qualified.
It’s a lesson I’ve seen play out in so many others. People get stuck in the cycle of preparation, telling themselves they’ll start “once they feel ready.” But the reality is, readiness comes from doing the work.
If you’re always trying to get ready, you’ll never be ready. Action is what builds confidence, not the other way around.
The Power of Prior Lessons
Throughout this Academy, I’ve challenged participants to examine their priorities and habits. We’ve explored identifying creative passions, reducing stress through hobbies, and building consistent routines. These lessons provide a foundation for today’s challenge: taking action.
Here’s a quick recap to guide you:
In Day 5, we discussed creating routines that align with your goals and values. A routine isn’t just about what you do daily—it’s about doing what matters most.
In Day 9, we explored time management strategies, where I introduced my Shell Schedule method. This framework helps you focus on priorities like faith, family, fitness, finance, and fun.
And throughout the course, we’ve focused on shifting mindsets to overcome self-doubt and limiting beliefs.
Each of these lessons has one purpose: to prepare you to take meaningful action.
Your Challenge for Today
Here’s what I want you to do today. (And if you’re reading this on LinkedIn, I’d love for you to share your progress in the comments!)
Write down three actions you can take today. These actions should align with the goals, values, and principles that matter most to you. For example, if your goal is to strengthen family bonds, one action might be scheduling a family dinner or quality time.
Evaluate how those actions align with your goals. Ask yourself: If I did this every day for a year, what results would it yield? Would it bring me closer to the person I want to become?
Take one action and share your progress. Whether it’s completing that action or reflecting on what it means to you, post in the comments below. Let’s celebrate your success and learn from each other’s journeys.
Final Thoughts
Taking inspired action changed my life. It taught me that success isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment or feeling completely prepared. It’s about showing up, doing the work, and trusting the process.
Discipline beats talent every single day. As one of my leaders once said, “God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called.” You don’t need to feel ready to take action—you just need to start.
This is just one of the lessons from my Gamer’s 30-Day Challenge Academy, where I guide participants through daily challenges to break through limiting beliefs, build consistent routines, and achieve creative, mental, and financial freedom.
The Academy is currently in development, but if this lesson resonates with you, follow me on Instagram for updates. Let’s take action together—because you didn’t wake up to be mediocre.
